A Super Bowl Dream Come True

Dream Foundation recipient attends Super Bowl 48 with family

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A few weeks ago, we brought you the story of a New Jersey girl who had her wish come true from the Dream Foundation in Santa Barbara.

Her dream was to attend the Super Bowl, and it all happened for her this weekend.

20-year old Charlotte Dequina, battling high grade glioma, was surprised by the Dream Foundation with enough tickets for her entire family to attend Super Bowl 48.

In addition to the five tickets and limo ride to the game, her family also received gear to attend the game in style.

"The drive was great," Charlotte said.  "We had a black luxury van pick us up.  The driver really was nice and helpful.  I don't blame him getting confused in the parking lot at Metlife Stadium, I would have to!"

Although her team, the Denver Broncos, did not take home the title, Charlotte said the entire game to her was a perfect win.

"The Super Bowl is an experience," she said.  "So it doesn't matter who wins or loses, the whole point of going there is to have a great experience which we certainly had."

Charlotte also added how thankful she was that the Dream Foundation was able to make everything happen just weeks before the event.

"It was unbelievable they actually did it," Charlotte said.  "They could grant the wish.  I thought it was impossible but I was wrong.  A dream for someone battling a disease means everything to them:  It puts a smile on their face, it makes their day."
