Broken Pipe Floods Santa Barbara Dentist's Office
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A Santa Barbara dentist's office is closed this morning after a broken pipe flooded their office.

Santa Barbara City Fire crews responded to Dr. Hurtado Dentistry at 609 State Street around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. Firefighters thought the broken pipe may have caused the roof to cave in, but they quickly learned that only the drop-down tiles fell after getting wet.

Firefighters shutoff the water and power and then began to save some many of the paper documents that got wet during the flooding. Crew also spent much of their time squeegeeing the floors and removing damaged ceiling tiles.

No one was injured and crews are trying to figure out what caused the pipe to break.

Customers who had appointments quickly learned that they were going to have to reschedule.
