SOLVANG, Calif. -

Union Bank is partnering with NewsChannel 3 to sponsor a free shred day in Solvang from 5-7 p.m.

Bring all unneeded paperwork to Solvang Veterans Hall at 1745 Mission Drive. Union Bank is hosting this event because it is dedicated to supporting local communities.

Shred day is a great way to help out the community by giving residents the opportunity to discard their unwanted paper materials for free, while also benefiting the environment by reducing trash in landfills.

All types of paper will be accepted and there is no need to remove staples or paper clips.

There is a limit of three boxes per vehicle.

Items like trash, cardboard, dangerous materials, plastics or metals, CDs, DVDs or binders will not be accepted.
