OXNARD, Calif. - Art Walk @ The Shores allowed neighbors and Labor Day visitors to see the work of local talent.
The first ever show showcased dozens of artists who live in Oxnard Shores.
They used the @Nextdoor app to invite artists to open their yards and studios.
The artists included Susan Seaberry, Douglas Cloutier, David Gardner and Jaime Wells.
Wells and her husband and daughter just moved to Oxnard from Houston.
They have friends who lost everything, so they decided to sell some of their paintings and sea glass jewelry to raise money for flood victims in Houston.
They plan to donate money to the Bayou City Fellowship.
Jeremy Wells plans to drive to Texas later this month to help.
