It's time to celebrate the avocado! The California Avocado Festival is this Friday to Sunday in downtown Carpinteria. The festival is one of the largest free festivals in California with over 75 music acts, the world's largest vat of guacamole and more ways to celebrate the avocado then you could imagine.

If you want to get in the fall spirit, head over to the Harvest Festival in Ventura. The arts and craft show features hundreds of artist showing off their best work. The event is this Friday through Sunday at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. General admission is $9.
ENCHILADA FESTIVAL | ST. STEPHEN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, SAN LUIS OBISPO | SUNDAY 2-4PM
If you have a craving for enchiladas head to the first annual enchilada festival at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on 650 Pismo Street in San Luis Obispo. Local restaurants will compete for the title of best enchilada from two to four on Sunday. All proceeds go to support campus ministries.
WAGS N' WHISKERS | SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE | SATURDAY 11AM-4PM
Animals lovers may enjoy their time at the Wags N' Whiskers festival at Santa Barbara City College. At the free event you can meet more than 100 adoptable animals and enjoy fun activities catered to pets. All the fun takes place on west campus from eleven to four this Saturday.
SOUTH CO. YOUTH COALITION’S 20TH ANNUAL FUN RUN | SATURDAY | NIPOMO
The Fun Run event will take place on Saturday at the softball field at Nipomo Community Park located on Tefft and Pomeroy Road in Nipomo. The community event, which precedes the Nipomo Octoberfest, is a non competitive four mile run, a two mile walk, and a half mile kids run for children 12 years of age and younger.

Great event showcasing more than 30 breweries, we will have food trucks, corn hole, beer pong and some great entertainment including The Molly Ringwald Project as our headline band. Proceeds are benefiting The Santa Maria Kiwanis Noontime group.
SURFING FOR HOPE | PISMO BEACH PIER | FRIDAY & SATURDAY | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
The contest is open to ages 10 and up with a variety of divisions. All proceeds from Surfing for Hope will benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) at French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, California. The fair will include activities for the whole family, live music, food vendors, and more!
