On November 7, <a href="http://www.keyt.com/news/local/Man-Wields-Knife-In-Montecito--177668151.html" target="_blank">Paul Robinette</a>, 43, stood on South Jameson Lane with two knives pressed against his neck. After four hours, Sheriff's deputies launched flash bombs and shot him with foam rounds. He dropped his knives and was taken away by ambulance. 9. <a href="http://www.keyt.com/news/local/Member-Of-Coast-Guard-Killed-During-Law-Enforment-Operation-Near-Oxnard-181750121.html" target="_blank">Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Terrell Horne</a> was killed on December 2, when his boat was intentionally rammed by alleged drug smugglers in a panga boat. He hit his head on a propeller and was killed. 8. It was the fire that threatened 100 homes in the Painted Cave area of Highway 154. <a href="http://www.keyt.com/news/local/Lookout-Fire-Fully-Contained-44-Acres-Burned-Investigation-Underway-174878331.html" target="_blank">The Lookout Fire</a> burned 44 acres. Air tankers, helicopters and hundreds of firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to neighboring buildings.
