Supporters of Lompoc Veterans hope to win Facebook contest

$25,000 prize awaits the winner

LOMPOC, Calif. -

Supporters of the Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building can help the vets win a big Facebook contest.   It's run by Home Depot, and the winner gets $25,000.

The big box store has an "Aprons in Action" contest on its site.  If supporters give it the most clicks, the foundation operating the vets site will win the prize.

A remodeling project is already underway, and organizers say they need $200,000 more to complete the work.
