State Attorney General Visits Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara - California Attorney Gen. Kamala Harris made a stop in Santa Barbara Thursday to discuss a number of topics, including the increase in mortgage fraud throughout the state.

Harris unveiled a mortgage fraud strike force in May to deal with the growing problem.

The strike force makes up of 25 attorneys and investigators and will target a multitude of crimes including predatory lending, unfair business practices in originating loans, deceptive marketing and loan modification and foreclosure consultant scams.
