Simi Family Evicted During Foreclosure Battle

Written by KEYT Reporter

The first time the Earls were evicted they snuck back into their six bedroom Simi Valley home on the corner of Mustang and Evening Sky Drive.

Tuesday Deputies locked them out and posted no trespassing signs.

The Earls paid 539 thousand dollars for the home almost a decade ago and borrowed from their equity when it valued soared to more than a million.

Then the housing bubble burst and they became late on their payments.

Fights over payments led to a foreclosure sale.

Nieghbors in the Shadow Hawk Neighborhood say they feel bad for the family because there are a lot of kids involved but they say they are tired of all the attention the foreclosure battle has brought to their area.

The Earls have an attorney to fight what they have called a fraudulent foreclosure.

But realtors have already put the house up for sale in the 800 thousand dollars range.
