The Foundation for Santa Barbara City College is trying to raise $1 million for cash-strapped city college students.
The foundation is kicking off its six-week fundraising campaign tonight with a "Show us Your Love" event. The free event features entertainment, music, and food. It is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday in the Sports Pavilion at Santa Barbara City College.
The campaign is part of the foundation's effort to meet the growing demand for financial aid for SBCC students.
