SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A ban on smoking may be coming to Santa Barbara City College.

Currently, students can smoke in designated areas.

But school administrators say they're getting an increasing number of complaints from students and staff about cigarette smoke.

One idea being considered is to only allow students to smoke in their cars.

Some college officials are concerned about how they could enforce an all-out ban.

The college's Planning Council will discuss the issue and take a vote in the coming months.
