Oxnard and Camarillo broke heat records with temperature in the low 80s Monday and Camarillo did it again today. Todd Hall at the National Weather Service located in Oxnard says preliminary figure show that Camarillo hit 82 degrees today. The previous record was 81 degrees in 1968. Visitors and locals agree it doesn't feel like winter this week. The holiday weekend saw temperatures soar up and down the coast. Some people from the San Fernando Valley tried to beat the heat by visiting the Ventura Pier. Despite the warmth the ocean is still chilly. Surfers were out in the 55 degree water, but they appeared to love the surf and the sunshine. For more on the weather, head to the SkyTracker Forecast page.
