Another smuggling boat found onshore

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. -

Another smuggling boat was found along our coast.

Ventura County Sheriff's Deputies said a witness reported seeing the boat just south of Pt. Mugu before 7a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies found the boat near Mugu Rock, but the smuggling boat only had empty gas cans on board.

Vessell Assist towed the boat to the Ventura Harbor for further investigation.

Investigators are trying determine whether it was used to smuggle people or pot.
