CARPINTERIA, Calif. -

Hundreds gathered at Main Elementary School in Carpinteria Saturday morning to participate in this year's Orchard to Ocean Run.

The route took runners through the bluffs and around Carpinteria Avenue. There was a 10K and a 5K run.

For 21 years, this event has benefited the Carpinteria Unified School District.

Proceeds are divided between each school based on the number of students at the school site.
