SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A Santa Barbara animal shelter is asking for your help.

Santa Barbara County Animal Control discovered four puppies with a severe case of contagious mange. They were going to be euthanized.

But officials reached out to D.A.W.G., the only no kill animal shelter in Santa Barbara.

The shelter agreed to take the puppies in.

They will get them the vet care they need and eventually help them find homes.

"Consider donating to these girls, and any extra we will go to helping our other dogs, and making a no-kill shelter possible," said Emily Grossheider, the shelter director.

D.A.W.G. is fully funded by community support.
