Isla Vista Foot Patrol Thwarts Robbery and Arrests Narcotics Traffickers

A traffic stop in Isla Vista led authorities to five men who are being described as narcotics traffickers.
It started over the weekend when an IV foot patrol deputy stopped UCSB student, James Chung.
Deputies say Chung had more than 1/4 pound of processed marijuana and $2,000.00 in cash.
Deputies say they discovered Chung was heading to an apartment in the 6500 block of Del Playa Drive to meet another narcotics trafficker, Jorden Gendron, who planned to rob Chung.
Deputies eventually arrested three more suspects.
