SANTA BARBARA, Calif -

Thousands of people are expected to fly or drive to see friends and family this Thanksgiving holiday. AAA predicts an increase in travel, with roughly 43 million Americans.

Ninety percent or 39 million people will be hitting the roads, and about 3.14 million will be taking to the skies. One thing drivers can be thankful for is lower gas prices. The price of gas has dropped about 7 cents in the last two weeks.

The national average for regular unleaded is $3.47. Santa Barbara Airport is trying to make travel easier. They have one short term, and two long term parking lots. They offer a shuttle every 10 minutes which drops off at the front entrance. There's also an AP you can download that tracks real time flight schedules, including delays.
