SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A historic painting is being restored at Santa Barbara High School.

Patty West, of South Coast Fine Arts began working on the second restoration on Campbell Grant's murals at Santa Barbara High School on Wednesday. It was painted by the Santa Barbara artist in 1934 and depicts the history of the New World.

Earlier this week the glass was removed to allow for the restoration.

The restoration is sponsored by the Santa Barbara High School Alumni Association.

It's expected to be completed by Thursday.
