SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. -

Investigators believe the Rey Fire may have started near the White Rock Campground. This is where a large tree came down on top of a power line. The area has been cordoned off with yellow tape and will not be touched by cleanup crews until a cause for the fire is determined.

Evacuated campgrounds along Paradise Road are virtually empty except for a few tents left behind. Campers left quickly after evacuation orders were issued.

One RV camper, however, decided to stay put. Robert Kabrhel stayed back at Paradise Campground as a campground manager, but says he is ready to go at a moment's notice if things take a turn for the worse.

On Friday, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department briefly allowed campers to retrieve any belongings left in the campgrounds. They only had a small window of time before they had to get out again.

Paradise Road remains closed. It's not known when the campgrounds will reopen.
