VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. -

A dramatic rescue took place in Saticoy, Monday.  A roof collapsed at a construction site, trapping a dog.  It happened on the 1100 block of Los Angeles Avenue.  Firefighters thought a worker was trapped too.  The worker managed to escape on his own.

When rescuers arrived, they could hear the dog barking.  It took bout 30-minutes to free  the 2-year-old German Shepherd, named Vixen.  The owner said his dog was keeping him company while he restored his home.
