Isla Vista man pleads guilty to discharging firearm

An Isla Vista man who fired a gun in the air could be sentenced to three years felony probation.

Thomas Christensen pleaded guilty last week to discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

It happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 17, 2012.

Authorities responded to a call of gunshots in 6500 block of Sabado Tarde.

Deputies surrounded the apartment and arrested Christensen.

His next court date will be on March 14.
