New owner, new stores in the mall

OXNARD, Calif. -

The Centerpoint Mall in Oxnard has a new owner and a new Walmart, which is holding it's grand opening this month.

The store replaced a vacant Mervyns on the corner of Saviers Road and Channel Islands Boulevard.

The only way to get into the Walmart is from inside the Mall.

That makes it a one of a kind Walmart.

The mall's recent makeover outside attracted new owners, too.

Los Angeles based developers bought the Centerpoint Mall for more than  $27 million.

Thanks to Walmart it is now 99% occupied.
