A bicyclist was struck Friday in an alleged hit-and-run accident.

Police were called to the scene at State and Figueroa Street around 6 p.m. The suspect had already left the scene. He fled to a nearby house, where he barricaded himself.

The man was taken into custody after a short standoff. The passengers in the man's car were also detained.

The incident remains under investigation.
