SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A second Santa Barbara City College student was sexually assaulted within the last month.

The most recent reported sexual assault involved a female student who got a ride from a stranger after class on Thursday.  Santa Barbara police say the driver took the woman to a location near the college and sexually assaulted her.

The other alleged sexual assault happened on Aug. 25th.  But, Santa Barbara police released no other specific details about the attack.

Students at SBCC told NewsChannel 3 that it's fairly common for students to get rides from people they don't know.

The college offers students escorts by security guards to cars and buses.
