SANTA MARIA, Calif. – A three-month long road construction project for Highway 101 through Santa Maria will cause overnight delays for drivers beginning on Monday, July 7th.

The $3.4 million dollar project will preserve and repair pavement between the Santa Maria River Bridge and Santa Maria Way. Lane closures will occur in both directions on Sundays through Thursdays, beginning at 8:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. Caltrans says delays should be expected, but should not exceed 10 minutes in length.

The contractor for project is Papich Construction in Pismo Beach. Road work is scheduled to be completed sometime in September.
