CAMARILLO, Calif. -

A seminar called  "Master the Disaster" took place Monday.

First responders from Ventura County took part in the class in Camarillo as part of their annual disaster preparedness training, but this year they covered more than safety techniques.

Guest speakers talked about being physically and mentally fit for the job.

Ventura County's Emergency Medical Service Department asked participants to sign a contract pledging to start working on their goals within 30 days.
