Oscar Flores

Oscar is a Digital Journalist and also spearheads KEYT, KCOY, and KKFX Fox 11's digital operations serving as the stations' Digital Content Director.

The native Santa Barbarian began his career in news as a photojournalist and editor, first for the Central Coast Univision affiliate and later, KEYT. Oscar joined the KEYT-KCOY-KKFX family in 2008.

With nearly a decade at KEYT, Oscar couldn't be happier working to bring his community the daily news across the stations' various digital platforms.

Oscar attended Santa Barbara High School and obtained a Associates Degree from Santa Barbara City College, including an Associates Degree in Film Production from SBCC. He received his B.A. from the University of California - Santa Barbara. 

Oscar is an Emmy Award recipient for KEYT NewsChannel 3's team coverage of the 2015 Refugio Oil Spill. He is also the recipient of 6 Golden Mike Awards for his work in various feature news and sports stories.

On his free time, Oscar enjoys traveling, catching an action flick, and digital still photography, among other adventurous things.
