Ventura County firefighters replace woman's flag that was destroyed in heavy winds

CAMARILLO, Calif. - Ventura County Firefighters went above and beyond in helping an elderly woman with a tangled American flag.

On Wednesday, firefighters from station 54 in Camarillo responded to a public service call after an elderly woman reported that her American flag was tangled and stuck on the pole.

Firefighters responded with a ladder truck to untangle the flag, but discovered that the flag was badly torn from recent heavy winds in the area.

The firefighters took the flag down, purchased a new flag and raised it atop the flag pole.
