Bo Taylor killed in Las Vegas shooting

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Firefighters, law enforcement and other emergency responders lined the streets and overpasses surrounding US 101 Saturday to pay their respects to a fallen Lieutenant with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Lt. Derrick “Bo” Taylor, 56, was killed last week in the Las Vegas shooting while he attended the Route 91 concert with his girlfriend Denise Cohen. Cohen, 57, was also killed in the shooting. The two lived together in Oxnard, according to NBC News.

Taylor served as commander at the Ventura Conservation camp in Camarillo since 2014. He had a long career with CDCR spanning nearly 30 years. 

Taylor's remains are headed to a funeral home in Grover Beach via the 101.
