VENTURA, Calif. - Country music fans flocked to the California Beer Festival in Ventura on Sunday.
The festival held its Boots and Brews County Music Festival on its final day in Plaza Park.
The entertainment lineup included Russell Dickerson.
Fans mouthed the words to his songs.
They enjoyed dozens of local beers.
Dylan Ellis of Rincon Brewery, based in Carpinteria, is adding a second location in Ventura, soon.
He also said the festival isn't just about drinking, it is about supporting local businesses.
"You have to come in and look past the beer, they made it a family event and not just drinking," said Ellis.
More than 80 breweries were represented at the festival including Red Tandem Brewery of Oxnard Shores.
Carol Tuesbird of Castaic brought her grandkids.
She said she designated a driver.
"We have a designated driver and we only have a beer or two, just like you would at a ball game," said Tuesbird.
Ride sharing services were busy when the festival wrapped up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Some people bought souvenir glasses and said they plan to return for the tenth annual festival next September.
