SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The fourth annual Fiesta celebration returned to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Santa Maria Sunday to the delight of young and old alike.
In addition to live music and cultural entertainment, there was a variety of freshly prepared food and fun for the whole family.
There was a giant bounce slide, pony rides, face painting, the always popular dunk tank as well as other games.
Several community organizations and vendors set up booths to provide information or sell various items.
"It has everything, something for the older community and the younger crowds, a little bit of everything here", said Fiesta fan Christian Garcia holding his son Ronnie.
"Its getting bigger, we're getting more and more vendors", said Fiesta volunteer David Chavez, "more people are wanting to come out, the entertainment, more and more people are coming out to entertain, its good, hopefully in the next coming years it gets even bigger."
A small but dedicated army of volunteers makes the annual Fiesta happen every year.
Proceeds from the major fundraising event go to paying for various parish expenses including maintenance as well as church ministries provided to the community.
