SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara celebrated Fat Tuesday with music, dancing, beads and masks last night at the Palace (New Orleans style) restaurant in Santa Barbara.
The restaurant brought in a special two piece band that was nestled into a corner and played both music from the Bayou and pop hits for the diners.
There was also a costume contest, dancing around the tables and interaction with the jovial serving staff.
The annual Fat Tuesday celebration is the beginning edge to Ash Wednesday. That is the start of Lent which leads to Easter Sunday.
