Art Walk features abstract art opening in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone

Geoff Pocock's solo show at GraySpace Gallery

Art Walk in Santa Barbaras Funk Zone...

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Funk Zone's bimonthly Art Walk coincided with the opening of a show at the GraySpace Gallery on Friday.

The solo show by English-born artist Geoff Pocock will be on display through Sept. 10.

Pocock is showing a style he calls 'Geometrics'.

He has created optical illusions with spatial dimensions to convey movement.

One of his pieces titled '108 Ravens' was designed for the Dalai Lama.

It depicts the interwoven tapestry of life.

Pocock's career includes sculpting, acting and poetry.

He read his poetry with Alan Ginsberg at St. Mark's Church. 

Some of his large-scale pieces are in Monument Valley, India and Greenland.
