SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett performed Little Feat hits with friends to help The Rhythmic Arts Project.
The sold-out concert at the historic Carrillo Adobe in Santa Barbara Friday afternoon was billed as a the Paul and Fred Acoustic Duo with a little help from their friends.
Their friends included Dominic Genova, Hani Naser and TRAP co-founder Eddie Tuduri.
Tuduri credits percussion with saving his life after he broke his neck in a 1997 body-surfing accident.
Since then, he has introduced TRAP courses to classrooms in Goleta, Carpinteria, Ventura, Ojai and around the world.
Friday's fundraiser will help bring TRAP to Santa Barbara schools.
The event included a silent auction with photographs by singer-songwriter David Palmer and instruments signed by Doors drummer John Densmore and other artists.
The concert ended with a round of "Happy Birthday" in honor of Tackett's and Tuduri's birthdays.
