CENTRAL COAST, Calif. - Check out the activities happening up and down the coast this weekend, ranging from running to rodeo's, and it's fun for the entire family.
35TH ANNUAL SLO TRIATHLON | AGES 15 & UP | SINSHEIMER PARK |SUNDAY
On Sunday, the San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 35th Annual SLO Triathlon at Sinsheimer Park.
Runners of all levels are encouraged to take part and ages 15 and up are invited to participate.
The short course event consists of a half-mile swim, 15-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.
The event is expected to have over 1,000 participants, with over 5,000 spectators.
2014 PATRIOT TOUR | SOLVANG | SANTA MARIA | 10 AM | SATURDAY & SUNDAY
The 2014 Patriot Tour will be stopping in Solvang, Santa Maria, and the Vandenberg Air Force Base this weekend.
The Nation of Patriots organizes a national effort to pay tribute to all of America's Armed Forces, including past, present and fallen, by driving American flags across the country.
Motorcycle riders from the central coast region will meet Friday at the Solvang Veteran's Building to escort an American flag to Vandenberg AFB.
On Saturday, the riders will leave from the Santa Maria Harley-Davidson around 10 a.m.
The public is encouraged to attend the ceremonies and it's free to ride your motorcycle along the tour.
After Santa Maria, the next stop will be Salinas.

If you haven't stopped by the Mid California State Fair, it is time to head on over.
Concerts and plenty of events will be rocking the fairgrounds this weekend.
Saturday is Armed Forces Day, with arena events like mutton busting and the Country Rodeo Finals.
The Los Lonely Boys take the stage at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The last day of the fair includes a monster truck rally in the Chumash Grandstand Arena.
