Search dog teams arrive in Montecito to aid with mudslide rescues

MONTECITO, Calif. - Dozens of search dog teams trained by the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation have been deployed to aid in the search and recovery of victims in Tuesday's mudslides in Montecito.

The non-profit organization is based out of Santa Paula and has trained many search and rescue dogs that have responded to natural disasters across the globe.

The 16 teams come from all across California including Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County. The animals and their handlers will comb through the debris and rubble around the clock in hopes of finding survivors.

The following teams are assisting in the search in Montecito.
