Grandma Sentenced To 6-Years For Locking Up Granddaughter

San Luis Obispo, CA-- An Atascadero woman will be spending the next years behind bars for locking her granddaughter up with food and water.

Tammi Underwood was arrested last April on charges on child abuse and child endangerment. Police say Underwood would lock her 9-year-old granddaughter in a closet without food and water for long periods of time.

Underwood plead no contest to the charges in June of this year.
