First Wave Of Rain Causing Minimal Worries
Santa Maria, CA-- Throughout the day KEY News crews have been closely monitoring the rain showers in Santa Maria, Santa Ynez, and southern San Luis Obispo County.
The intersection of Paso Robles and Front Streets in Oceano got drenched during the morning hours of Tuesday. Rain water was over the curb. In an area prone to flooding signs were posted early on. Despite the midday showers up the coast in Pismo Beach, people were out on walks, as waves crashed against the pier. In Santa Maria, officials are closely watching the riverbed. Flood control workers will also be carving a pilot channel down the center of the river to direct the run off water away from homes. |
