400 Investors Sue Parent Company Of Atascadero Based Hurst Financial
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) - More than 400 investors are suing an escrow firm for allegedly helping a San Luis Obispo County lender in a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme targeting the elderly.
The Superior Court lawsuit claims Cuesta Title and its Houston-based parent Stewart Title created escrows for Hurst Financial residential and commercial projects. The suit says the Hurst Financial investors lost $60 million. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
