Ojai Residents Plan Town Hall To Address Rise In Gang Violence
Ojai, CA-- The Ventura County District Attorney's Office is reportedly trying to determine whether it wants to try an Ojai teen charged with murder as an adult.
The unidentified 14-year-old suspect is charged in the stabbing death of 16-year-old Seth Scarminach in April. Scarminach was stabbed outside a house party in Meiners Oaks. Police believe the crime was gang related. A town hall meeting is being held in Ojai this week to address the growing issue of gang violence. The first of two meetings is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, in the Matilija Junior High auditorium. Matilija Junior High is located at 703 El Paseo Road in Ojai. |
