Budget Cuts Could Put The Brakes On Pot Hole Repairs
Ventura, CA-- The governor's proposed budget cuts could put the breaks on pot hole repairs on state, county and local streets.
Ventura County's Transportation Directors say the state could take gasoline sales tax that usually pays the way for re-paving. The county is already looking at putting off more than a third of its new projects. Commuters say work that is delayed for money reasons can be dangerous and costly to taxpayers. Drivers feel that pot hole repairs are especially needed on Highway 101 between Camarillo and Carpinteria. KEY News Ventura County Bureau Chief Tracy Lehr has more on what drivers can expect. |
