Search Teams Find Body Of Missing Carpinteria Man
Carpinteria, CA-- Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that the body of 63-year-old Jim Mitchell was located on Sunday.
Members of the Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team, with the help of cadaver dogs found Mitchell's body at the bottom of hillside near his Torito Road residence. Mitchell's body was found underneath a thick growth of brush and he was found with a handgun. Following a Coroner's investigation, authorities believe Mitchell died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Investigators say there were no signs of any foul play. Mitchell was first reported missing on November 7th of this year. |
