Jogger Fatally Struck By Intoxicated Driver

A driver is being held on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter after an early morning accident. It happened just before 6:30 this morning in Oak Park on Lindero Canyon Road near Bowfield Street. Ventura County Sheriff's say, 23 year old Nicholas Lagrotta veered of the road and struck a 46 year old Karey Marsh of Agoura Hills, who was jogging in the bike lane. They say it appears the impact from the crash knocked her about 30 feet off the road. Marsh was pronounced dead at the scene by sheriff's deputies investigating the accident.
