Residents Petition To Limit Wine Tasting Rooms
The Santa Ynez wine industry scored a hit with the movie "Sideways." But some Los Olivos residents say it's leaving them with a Hollywood hangover. That was the topic of discussion at a town hall meeting Monday night. Opponents say they're seeing too many intoxicated individuals around town, with some driving away drunk and others getting sick on public streets. There's also complaints of tour buses leaving their engines running undesirable fumes around town. Locals are passing around a petition, asking for clear language in the county plan that limits the number of wine tasting rooms in Los Olivos.
