Camarillo Crash Landing
For the second time in as many days, a small plane makes an emergency landing in Ventura County. The pilot flying alone in a single engine piper landed upside down in a field just east of Camarillo Airport. It happened just before 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. The plane had been flying an advertisement when it lost power. Rescue crews described the man who walked away unharmed as "one luckly pilot." The emergency landing caused a traffic jam on the northbound 101 Freeway. Another pilot made an emergency landing in a field near Simi Valley Wednesday afternoon. A flight instructor and student in that plane walked away with only minor injuries.
