Fundraiser For Family Of Jesse Alvarez
The tragic death of a five-year-old Santa Maria boy has a community rallying. Jesse Alvarez was buried alive during a Fourth of July celebration in Pismo Beach. His mother Stacy is unable to pay the $8,000 funeral cost so friends and co-workers hope you can help. You're invited to attend a barbecue fundraiser, this Sunday, at 400 W. Main Street, in Santa Maria. Alvarez says she always wanted the best for her son but never thought for a second he'd have such a short life. Alvarez's boyfriend, 24-year-old Juan Nunez was arrested for Jesse's death and remains behind bars on $1 million bail. Alvarez says she does not believe Nunez intended to kill the boy. An account has been established at Washington Mutual if any members of the public would like to make a contribution. Deposits can be made at any Washington Mutual location into the account #3411049477.
