Ventura County Fire Action Plan
Ventura County's Fire Department says "it's time to get ready." The department is advising residents to begin protecting their homes from the threat of wildfires. Buildings in rural areas are most at risk. The deadline to complete weed abatement on all Ventura County properties is june 1st. By law California requires 30 to 100-feet of defensible space around buildings. For more help on preparing for fire season... the Ventura County Fire Department offers a "Wildfire Action Plan."
