Hollywood Is Coming To Moorpark
Hollywood may be planting their seed in the suburban back-lot of Ventura County. Two veterans of the entertainment industry announced a plan to build a $125-million production facility in the city of Moorpark. Backers behind the extensive project are citing a regional shortage of film and television sound-stages for the reasoning behind their plans. The studio facility would have 14 sound-stages and offices, along with a commissary and other services. Some of the sets would boast special effects production with rain and fire. KEY News Ventura County Bureau Chief Tracy Lehr has more information about the potential impacts of the projects.
