Presents For Pooches
Man's best friend was showered with toys, treats, leashes and blankets today thanks to students from Kellogg Elementary School. 4th and 5th graders paid a visit to the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter to meet the dogs and drop off their goodies. Through extensive fundraising, the kids raised more than $1,500 that benefit the K-9 Pals Organization that works with the dogs. The kids also applied for and received a Care and Share philanthropy grant for $1000. Between 70 to 80 dogs live at the shelter throughout the course of the year.
