KEYT HeadlinesHigh Winds and Surf WarningThe National Weather Service is warning of high seas beginning Tuesday that are expected to last though Thursday. The Coast Guard strongly urges recreational boaters to remain in port during this time. Seas off the Santa Barbara are expected to range from 8-10 feet by Tuesday night and 5-7 feet by Wednesday night. Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol says boats could wash ashore and beachfront property is vulnerable to tides. Local surfers are also gearing up for the big swell. Harbor Patrol officers warn inexperienced wave riders to watch from shore but not too close. |
